About us

“Oyna” means “to dance” in Azeri — a nod to co-founder Aisan’s first love and to the roots both founders share through their families from Iran’s Azerbaijan Province.

When Aisan moved from Iran to the U.S. in 2013 to pursue dance, she searched for real, ready food that could fuel long days — without additives or artificial ingredients. Unable to find it, she began cooking the way she grew up: using fresh herbs, vegetables, and spices, and keeping everything simple, clean, and full of flavor.

Her food quickly became a backstage favorite, and soon she and her husband, Mehdi, began sharing it beyond the studio.

Today, everything we make follows the same rule: mindful, trustworthy ingredients — no preservatives, no shortcuts, and, most importantly, full of flavor. Food you’d proudly serve to the people you love. From our kitchen to yours, we craft small-batch foods that bring bold flavor to everyday life.
